The irony is strong in this one. Remember when we told you about Microsoft releasing an update for its mobile Operating System, Windows Phone 7? Well, it seems that the update that was supposed to make future updates easier for the platform actually ended up bricking some of Samsung’s Omnia 7 smartphones, thus prompting Microsoft to pull the update for Samsung phones off the air. Heh.
This comes as a setback for Omnia 7 owners, who have also been patiently waiting for Copy/Paste and Silverlight etc, which will be featured in the No Donuts update. Microsoft are reporting this issue as one that’s affecting a very small number of Omnia 7 phones, for now at least. We just hope this issue gets fixed, Omnia 7 users get what they want and most importantly, what we really wish is that this glitch doesn’t affect the rollout of the No Donuts update.
