QWERTY Android Samsung Galaxy Pro Revealed

Recently, Samsung shuffled its Galaxy S line-up with the new Galaxy S SL GT-I9003 in India and couple of other regions till the Galaxy S II GT-I9100 is made available everywhere. At the Samsung SEA Forum in Singapore, the company unveiled a brand new Galaxy Pro smartphone that has a physical QWERTY keypad and runs Google Android reported Samsung Hub. Running Android 2.2 Froyo, the Galaxy S Pro does have the proprietary TouchWiz UI layering.



The new Galaxy S Pro features a nice 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display. Under the chassis lies an 800Mhz processor and the phone sports a 3 megapixel camera at the back. The new Galaxy Pro is the first candy bar form factor smartphone running Android in the Galaxy family. Other features include Wi-Fi and Social Hub premium. From the features, it looks like this phone will cost around Rs. 15,000 or $350. 



The Galaxy Pro will compete with other QWERTY candy bar handsets like the entry level BlackBerry 8520, Nokia E5 and Motorola Charm. Check out the Galaxy Pro sneak peek video below.
