At the Samsung SEA Forum in Singapore, the company announced new QWERTY candybar Galaxy Pro that runs Google Android 2.2 Froyo on it. Samsung also quietly announced the new Corby II S3850 handset that will have TouchWiz UI running on it. It features a 3.14-inch capacitive touchscreen display retaining the QVGA resolution and 2 megapixel camera that can shoot video in QVGA resolution at 15fps.
The Corby II is a 2G Network only phone and won't support 3G network. Other features of the Corby II phone include support for Microsoft Exchange, Social Hub, stereo FM with RDS, Bluetooth 3.0 and 3.5 mm audio port. It also has a microSD card slot capable of holding up to 16GB memory card.
Samsung will launch the Corby II in White, Pink and Yellow colors by late March in Germany and then it would be made available in other countries in Europe, Latin America, Middle East and in India, China and Africa.
