took most of its rivals off guard, and the competition is now going back to the drawing board to offer products able to compete with the upcoming screamingly fast tablet.
The Motorola Xoom has already been launched, and the Chicago-based company simply cannot upgrade the tablet’s specs without upsetting early buyers. But rival Samsung is still working on its upcoming Galaxy Tab 10.1, slated to be released later this year, and according to various Samsung officers, the Korea-based company has no choice but to re-engineer the device, as several of its features are simply too “inadequate” to allow the tablet to have a shot at taking some market share away from the iPad 2.
The company even posted a teaser about the its new tablet on its Facebook page, to remind folks in the market for a new tablet that other options than the iPad 2 are currently in the works. But like with the first generation iPad, Apple will likely enjoy a significant head start once the iPad 2 hits store shelves next week, and Samsung will need a lot more than teasers to be able to catch up.
