AT&T GoPhone users finally have a smartphone to call their own.
Alongside LG, AT&T  has announced the LG Thrive, a 3.2-inch, 3.2-megapixel camera equipped  smartphone designed to take advantage of AT&T's prepaid plans. The  Thrive runs on Android 2.2.

While the Thrive is not nearly as powerful as other AT&T devices  like the Galaxy S and Atrix, it is the first phone that AT&T has  offered via its GoPhone plan, making it an attractive option for those  looking for the expanded capabilities of a smartphone without the  expensive two-year contracts that come often comes with them.     
                           Available April 17, the Thrive will retail for $179 alongside the LG  Phoenix, a nearly-identical phone that will run for $49 with a two-year  contract.
Also joining the Thrive is a new prepaid data plan from AT&T, which offers 500MB of data a month for $25.
