The Samsung Droid Charge was reportedly scheduled to launch last week, however problems with Verizon’s LTE network forced the carrier to scrap the Charge’s launch – not surprising for anyone that waited through the HTC ThunderBolt’s many delays. However, it does look like the Charge will be released soon – perhaps as early as Tuesday, if Android Central’s sources are accurate.
Android Central has several shots of inventory screens from Verizon and Costco that suggest the Charge will be released this week. One screen shows the device launching on Tuesday, May 3rd, while the Costco screen shot shows a May 5th release date.
Either way, it appears that Verizon has resolve its issues with the Charge, and is prepared to launch the device this week. While delays with Verizon’s LTE phones seem to be somewhat of a trend, it is encouraging that the Charge’s delays appear to be much shorter than the delays that the ThunderBolt endured.
